The congregants of Beth El Ner Tamid  welcome you to our website. We are a vibrant egalitarian conservative synagogue located in Southeast Wisconsin, 15 minutes north of Milwaukee and less than 2 hours from Chicago. We have so much to offer. A vibrant sisterhood, an active men's club, a dynamic Rabbi and a wonderful Cantor. We have a great school program for the kids and many programs for adults and families. Here are our latest events and activities. They are updated weekly.

Monday, January 5th at 11:00 am - Sisterhood Perspectives Program will feature Blanche Berenzweig.  The title of her talk is ‘How Do I Find Peace of Mind with My Investments?’  A light luncheon and monthly meeting will follow.

Monday, January 5th at 6:00 pm – Men’s Club will meet for their dinner and bible discussion.

Wednesday, January 7th at 7:00 pm - Sisterhood Book Club will meet in the library.  They will be reading ‘Septembers of Shiraz’ by Dalia Sofer.

Starting Sunday, January 11th – ‘These Are A Few Of My Favorite Prayers’ class will be taught by Cantor Berkowitz.  There will be five Sunday morning classes.  The dates are January 11, from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm, January 25, February 1, 8 & 15, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm (January 18 is Day of Discovery – No Class).  Come and join Cantor, bring a kosher dairy or pareve bag lunch and examine these prayers in depth.  Call the BENT office at (262) 242-6900 and let us know if you will be attending.  Flyers are in the foyer.

Sunday, January 11th at 12:30 pm – Sisterhood presents its Annual Donor Event in Weitzman Hall.  Kathie Bernstein, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Jewish Museum, will present the history of the museum, its evolution and impact on our community.  Cost of the luncheon is $18.00.  A minimum contribution of $18.00 is required.  Flyers will be coming in the mail.  They are also in the foyer.

Friday, January 16th  – The TOT Shabbat Service will be at 6:30 pm with a tot style dinner for kids six years and under.  Kids In Shabbat Service (KISS) is at 7:30 pm.  KISS is a family friendly participatory service.  Please support our Religious School students.  This is a wonderful way to enjoy a Friday evening with your family.

Sunday, January 18th at 10:00 am – Men’s Club will gather for their monthly meeting.

Saturday, February 7th from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm – The Men’s Club presents their annual ‘Music Memories Concert’ at Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue.  Come see a Las Vegas style show with the wonderful Tom Anthony Group.  Tickets are only $18.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.  This includes dessert and soda.  For tickets send your check (payable to the Beth El Ner Tamid Men’s Club) to Beth El Ner Tamid Men’s Club Concert, 2909 W. Mequon Road, Mequon, WI 53092.  Flyers are in the foyer.

Thursdays, at 11:00 am – There will be weekly Parsha classes with Rabbi Berman on ‘Prophets and Current Events’.

Yoga Classes are held at Beth El Ner Tamid with instructor Jan Halonen.  Yoga will help you reduce stress, increase flexibility, build internal body strength and enhance the immune system.  The cost is $11.00 per class.  The time is Monday at 9:30 am.  Call Bobbe Abrams at (414) 351-0447 for more information.
