The December 14, 2009 meeting of the Beth El Ner Tamid Board of
Trustees was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by President Al
Simon. Barbara Abrams, Melanie Bandos, Jane Chester, Joseph
Hirschberg, Harvey Kaufman, David Kazilsky, Nancy Kellman, Alan
Marcuvitz, Fred Meyer, Robert Peterman, Neal Plotkin, Robert
Rudman, Al Simon, Deanna Spanjar, Pamela Stein, Rodney Ugent,
and Ilene Wasserman were present. Patricia Chamoy was excused.

Cantor Berkowitz
spoke to us about current issues as it pertains to Beth El.

Jane Chester
provided an overview of our current finances.

Al Simon spoke
about both the fundraising and ritual committees.

Neal Plotkin
gave a Men's Club report which included the success of the
Chanukah party. He also mentioned upcoming events like the
world-wide-wrap, the Midwest Regional Meeting, the
Man-Of-The-Year dinner in Chicago and the Tom Anthony concert.

Deanna Spanjar
gave a sisterhood report which included the upcoming donor
luncheon and the Torah Fund luncheon.

Al Simon
discussed the household membership category that was discussed
at our synagogue annual meeting some months ago.

Howard Loeb
reported on the work the Rabbi search committee was doing in
procuring an interim Rabbi until a permanent Rabbi can be found.

The board also
discussed other financial issues as it pertains to our
synagogue.
