Wednesday, August 4^th, 2010, at 3:00 pm - There will be a Stone Dedication for Jack Langer at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel, 134 S. Dana Court in Milwaukee.  A light supper will be served after the service at Shirley Langer’s home, 10002 N. Kirkland Court, in Mequon.

Thursday, August 5^th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm - Come to Mah Jongg Night at BENT.  Bring friends or we will find a table for you.  Please bring your Mah Jongg set if you have one.  The cost is only $1.00 per person.  Please RSVP by Tuesday, August 3^rd, to the BENT office at (262) 242-6900 or info@bethelnertamid.org.

Sunday, August 15^th, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm – Beth El presents its 2^nd Annual Wine Tasting Event.  Featuring kosher wines of Israel.  Cost is $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple.  After August 11^th or at the door, the cost is $18.00 per person.  Mastercard and Visa accepted.  Please RSVP by Wednesday, August 11^th.  Contact the Beth El office at (262) 242-6900.

Thursday, August 19^th – The Social Action Committee will be serving at St. Vincent de Paul from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm.  Dinner will consist of hot dogs, brats, buns, potato salad, coleslaw, cookies, brownies and watermelon.  We will need volunteers to bake cookies and brownies, and to serve the dinner.  We no longer need watermelons as someone kindly donated them to us.  Please contact Nancy Kellman at (262) 512-9119 or Barbara Simon at (414) 351-1010.  If you are not able to donate your time, monetary donations are always welcome.

Thursday, August 26^th - Next up from KOACH is ‘A Presence in Residence’ at Beth El.  The program features Marge Eiseman, Singer, Songwriter, Storytelling Maven.  The lunch and/or program cost is $8.00.  Lunch is at 12:00 noon.  Reservations are required and the deadline is Monday, August 23^rd.  For reservations or information call Diane Sobel, KOACH Director, (414) 967-8258.  Flyers are in the foyer.

Sunday, September 26^th, at 9:30 am - - Join family, friends and neighbors in celebrating the Tenth Annual Beth El Ner Tamid FUN RUN/WALK.  Registration time is from 8:30 am to 9:15 am.  This is a wonderful fundraiser to help support our Religious School!!  The cost is $18.00 (includes a commemorative tee shirt) for runners/walkers.  Become a sponsor for only $36.00.  Make checks payable to Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue.  Brochures are in the foyer and on our website.  Call the BENT office for information at (262) 242-6900.

The Jewish Museum Milwaukee  now has a vast array of archives from Beth El Ner Tamid. From almost all weekly and monthly bulletins we have ever published to photos of our synagogue buildings on Sherman Blvd and W. Garfield streets. Please visit the museum and ask to see the Beth El Ner Tamid archives. Chances are you'll recognize someone from photos taken long ago. Click here for a list of archived items.

Bar/Batmitsvahs, weddings, confirmations held at Beth El? We are looking for photos and articles from yesteryear to add to our collection at the Jewish Museum.
